Adding Domain Login Fails
|
When trying to add the following domain account to SQL Server the following error occured:
Error 15401: Windows NT user or group 'hrbinc\472683' not found. Check the name again.
Using the following commands I was able to show the security identification number (SID) for hrbinc\a472683 was also associated with hrbinc\x1211
In this instance a contractor was converted to a full-time employee and was already a user on the SQL Server as hrbinc\x1211
Commands:
select suser_sid ('hrbinc\A472683')
select name from sysxlogins where sid = suser_sid ('hrbinc\A472683')
